Please pray for all those known to you who are suffering in any way at this time, whether physically, mentally or spiritually. Pray that each individual will be able to feel God’s loving presence surrounding and upholding them in their situation and pray that each person will receive the help or treatment needed. Please pray too for all who care for others whether in a professional capacity or as family and friends acting as carers.

Please pray for our hospital staff, for doctors, surgeons, nurses and all auxiliary staff ; pray for those working in the community and providing care at home for those needing it. Please also pray for those working and volunteering at our local hospice St Catherine’s and at Derian House.

Please pray for our church here at LMC and for the churches throughout our Chorley and Leyland Circuit. Pray for the ministers, local preachers, leadership teams, stewards and all who hold responsibilities within each church. Pray too for the congregations of each church and for their spiritual development through the worship there.

Pray for our local community in Leyland and for those in any kind of need. Pray for all the organisations and individuals who reach out and offer help where it is needed. Pray for the local Food Bank, Christians against Poverty, SLEAP and all other charities locally and throughout our country. As winter nears pray for those who offer warm safe places for those who need and value them and also welcome the friendship offered.

Pray for the future of “Come Together on Tuesdays,” that enough volunteers will come forward to enable this to continue to offer a welcome to many who appreciate the opportunity to meet and spend time with others.

Please pray for the people of the Caribbean islands who have been severely affected by the Hurricane Melissa this past week. Pray for those who have lost loved ones, those injured, those who are bringing aid , and for all those who have anxiety about the future. Pray for all parts of our world which are experiencing natural disasters which seem to be more extreme than usual and cause great devastation.

Please continue to pray for peace to be restored to parts of the world affected by violence and warfare. Pray for the leaders of these places to actively seek for peaceful solutions, through negotiations and understanding.

Pray for those who have lost loved ones because of wars, those who have suffered injuries either physical or mental, those who have had to leave their homes to seek refuge elsewhere.
